The Mississippi Blues Marathon and Mississippi Blues Half Marathon will take place Saturday January 9th, 2016 in Jackson, Mississippi. Fifty States Half Marathon Club official members will receive a $10.00 discount to the event. The event kicks off, and finishes, at the Mississippi Museum of Art. There are live musicians stationed all along the race course and at the finish line. The race is also a popular event for a weekend double, giving runners and walkers the opportunity to check off two states in one weekend, completing Mississippi Blues Half Marathon (or marathon) on Saturday, and finishing the First Light Half Marathon (or marathon) on Sunday in Mobile, Alabama (a little over 3 hours away by car).
